Beautiful encounters between artists and strings in unison
Zemlinsky Quartet:
František Souček and Petr Střižek, violins
Petr Holman, viola
Vladimir Fortin, cello
Tobias Feldmann, violin
Muriel Razavi, viola
The Zemlinsky Quartet and the duo of Tobias Feldmann on violin and Muriel Razavi on viola have been delighting audiences for many years now. But at the Stavelot Festival, we had never heard them together, and this is the first time that our six artists have combined their talents. The Zemlinsky Quartet's Czech origins are reflected in their choice of composers, but it is an exceptional version for six strings of Mozart's Symphonie concertante that will undoubtedly be the surprise of this closing concert of our 67th season!
Program :
Bedřich Smetana: Quartet No. 2 in D minor
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Symphonie concertante K 364 (version for six strings) Jean Sibelius: Duo for violin and viola
Antonín Dvořák: String quintet No. 3 in E flat major, Op. 97
