A close friend of the Festival for 35 years, the great French violist Gérard Caussé has (re)discovered the beauty of his instrument here, as he has throughout the world. For each of his concerts here, he has surrounded himself with renowned partners, as is the case here with pianist Frank Braley, but also with promising artists. For example, it was through him that the young Renaud and Gautier Capuçon came to us, and these were their first performances in Belgium! Today, our festival pays tribute to both his immense talent and his moving loyalty.
