After studying at the Académie d'Uccle, Xavier Locus entered Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden's class at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. He graduated in 2008 with great distinction and the Maurice Lefranc Prize. He was then admitted to the Accademia d'Imola, where he studied under the great masters, as in Verona. He has won numerous prizes in Belgium and abroad. With clarinettist Julien Ellouet, he toured the USA, from New York to San Francisco, with a programme of American music. He now teaches at music academies in Brussels and is a master of the ICambristi Masterclasses (in Rome in 2023, at the Belgian Ambassador's residence, in Brussels in March 2024, in Stavelot in August 2024).
