Founded in 1987 on the initiative of the Centre d'Art vocal & de Musique ancienne (CAv&Ma), the Choeur de Chambre de Namur is now one of Europe's most renowned ensembles. Its preferred repertoire is early music, with works by composers from the Walloon region and Brussels. It has made dozens of award-winning recordings, notably for Ricercar. Since 2010, the ensemble has been conducted by Leonardo García Alarcón, but other great conductors are occasionally invited to join. The choir is regularly prepared by Thibaut Lenaerts.
